What's the plan? A seated man peering over his glasses asks the question.

January is, for many, a time for resolutions.

It’s when we resolve to do something, or to make an important change in our lives.

We might want to lose weight to look and feel better.

Dry January and Meat Free January have evolved to support those goals.

Many smokers decide that January is the time to quit their increasingly expensive, not to mention dangerous, habit.

Others elect to study for a qualification or to learn or relearn how to play a musical instrument.

For some, relocating to a place they’ve always wanted to live is their goal.

The list of resolutions is as varied as the people who make them.

Sadly, many of those resolutions for a better future don’t come to fruition.

Exercise and diet plans fall by the wayside before January ends.

The reality of keeping those exercise and diet commitments proves too hard.

Likewise, the withdrawal symptoms from smoking break the will to quit.

Dreams of a move abroad are squashed by the demands and cares of day-to-day living.

But, as the minority of successful fit, non-smoking, newly qualified, and relocated musical individuals prove,

Resolutions can succeed.

The question is how?

You need a plan

The difference between wishing to be fit and having a plan to be so is huge.

Writing a plan forces you to think about what will be required to achieve the goal.

Take the fitness goal.

Things like how many exercise sessions you’ll build into a week and how the intensity will rise as you get fitter will be in the plan.

You might also decide that going to bed earlier will be another key part of your new regime.

Goal posts or measures of success along the way will keep you motivated.

It’s no different when it comes to getting your financial arrangements in shape.

Those plans need to be adjusted to suit your goals and objectives.

If you wish to ensure that your loved ones will benefit from your legacy as you intend, and avoid this situation, turn that wish into a concrete plan.

And that’s where I can help.

Together, we can create a plan to deliver the legacy and financial protection you want for your loved ones.
